This Australia Day 2018, we have the following SUP events for all you keen paddlers to join:
7am – Mystery Paddle
For all those experienced paddlers who like a sense of adventure we have a Mystery Paddle at 7am. All we can tell you is that you need to be able to paddle at least 4 – 5 km and it would be best to bring your own board! Intrigued…. Excited….
10am – Social Paddle
This is open for those who are competent paddlers or have had lessons with us before. If you have never paddled before or are a bit rusty on the board, please book into one of our SUP lessons and we will get paddle ready!
Lessons and Cruises will continue as per usual from 12pm onwards.
SUP Fit works your whole body! It is a great way to stay active, healthy and fit. Be prepared to SWEAT! Our stand up paddle board training sessions are designed to strengthen your core, enhance your balance and develop appropriate muscles for SUPing. Sessions include drill work & technique advancement and distance & speed training in all conditions!
Bring your own SUP board or hire one of ours & let’s get fit!
For experienced SUPers only. However, you don’t need to be a PRO! If you have never SUPed before we recommend booking a SUP Lesson to teach you the fundamental basics of paddling before joining our SUP Fit Sessions.
The sessions will include 60 minutes of the following:
- Drills on Stand Up Paddling skills & techniques
- Varied paddle courses of the surrounds of Watsons Bay
- Time trials, endurance and speed sessions
- Session content varies based on wind and swell conditions
- Get FIT & have fun doing it! …SUPing that is!
Book in as a Casual, purchase a Multipass or choose from our WATSSUP Training Packages for unlimited SUP Training!
“The WATSSUP experience has done wonders for me! As someone who was not so confident on water I didn’t know if I’d feel safe on a stand up, but Terry and Jo have made me feel so comfortable! I now go to every fitness session and don’t worry about a thing! The sessions are so rewarding and its awesome to have Terry and Jo there to help you with your technique, not to mention the amazing sunrises. You also get to meet some great people of all ages and levels. The guys at WATSSUP are truly awesome at what they do and if you get the chance you should definitely head down to Watsons Bay and see what its all about!”- Maggie Byrne, WATSSUP training Member
All sessions are dependent on wind and weather conditions, turnout of participants in each session and if there are any specific training goals in place.
