SUP Fit works your whole body! It is a great way to stay active, healthy and fit. Be prepared to SWEAT! Our stand up paddle board training sessions are designed to strengthen your core, enhance your balance and develop appropriate muscles for SUPing. Sessions include drill work & technique advancement and distance & speed training in all conditions!

Bring your own SUP board or hire one of ours & let’s get fit!

For experienced SUPers only. However, you don’t need to be a PRO! If you have never SUPed before we recommend booking a SUP Lesson to teach you the fundamental basics of paddling before joining our SUP Fit Sessions.

The sessions will include 60 minutes of the following:

  • Drills on Stand Up Paddling skills & techniques
  • Varied paddle courses of the surrounds of Watsons Bay
  • Time trials, endurance and speed sessions
  • Session content varies based on wind and swell conditions
  • Get FIT & have fun doing it! …SUPing that is!

SUP Fit Timetable

All sessions are dependent on wind and weather conditions, turnout of participants in each session and if there are any specific training goals in place.

Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00 – 7:00am
Our mid week sessions are generally heart rate and high-intensity training. We do a lot on interval and circuit training sets including:

  • Run, swim (in the warmer months) and a paddle combo
  • Interval sets and paddleboard sprint training
  • Time trials

Saturdays 7:00 – 8:00am
This is a endurance and skill session. Focus is on:

  • Long paddle 5km +
  • Focus on distance
  • Downwind skill training
  • Rough water training

Sundays 9:00 – 10:00am (Social Paddle)
This is the more relaxed and social training session. Great session for beginners and paddlers who would like to introduce friends to the sport of Stand Up Paddling. Includes:

  • Cruisey paddling
  • Correcting Technique
  • Fun races!
  • Scenic paddle session!
